- I personally think that with the right marketing, and a little visual
- 'massaging', and most of all, an appealling price, it could do OK as a
- low end expandable machine.

- Well, they certainly shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket, but they
- don't seem to be, do they.

- Frankly I think the idea of flogging something as "a totally new
- approach..." is a recipe for disaster in the home pc market, at least in
- N. America (not that we'll see them anytime soon anyway). This would
- scare off all those thinking of buying something for the kids....here,
- what they want to see first and foremost is something that's going to be
- here for a while. "New" implies 'risk'.
-
- Now, a similar, but more 'buyer-friendly' way to say the same thing would
- be "the NEXT generation of personal computing", capitalizing on the
- growing awareness of how long in the tooth the x86 based systems are
- getting. Esp. would it be good to let buyers know they'll be able to
- upgrade this baby to a RISC processor. This is unlikely to be a selling
- point of an Intel box for some time, IMHO.
